How do I know that my education establishment is
registered with the Department for Educational Skills?
If your education establishment is not registered then your application will not
be successful, this needs to be confirmed before you lodge your application for
a visa or an extension.
I am applying for a course that I have never studied
before will I be successful?
Applications are considered on individual circumstances, this should not necessarily
be a reason to refuse.
Is there a time limit on the number of hours you
are able to work whilst being a student in the UK?
Yes, there is a maximum number of hours a student
is allowed to work which is 20 hours a week. This should not be exceeded. However
during the students holidays a student can work full time.
After my course has finished can I continue to
live in the UK?
You may be able to remain in the UK after your course
has finished but there are different requirements that you will need to meet depending
on your case you will need to meet the relevant criteria for the application.
